Last day of my vacationing outside Shanghai. Sad. Will miss it. Shanghai - Taiwan - Singapore - Taiwan - Los Angeles - Taiwan - Shanghai. One great but tiring vacation. We've got projects and homeworks to do, stealing away our vacation which we are suppose to enjoy. Every now and then the project have to be on my mind to make sure I got all the materials I need. A day or two ago, I simply had to reply to this stupid person who is just so irritating but then I gave up since I was so tired since it's 1 or 2 am. packed up everything today and got my first aid notes in the boxes in the storeroom in dad's office on the top floor without aircon.
so this will be my last blog post (i think), unless China UNblock blogger. and facebook. and twitter. but i guess it's for my own good. (:
seeya! will give a superb long update on next vacation! ;)
Looks promising but I think I'll wait for more reviews to come in before deciding on a Mac or PC...

Ok so there's an earthquake early morning... it shake for quite a while... but it somehow feels like a dream so I am not very sure whether it's a dream or reality... anyways another earthquake occured again around 6pm for a short while and I am very sure that that's real. All these disasters remind me of the predicted 2012 End of the World disaster.
Seriously speaking, I think it really might just happen. Nostradamus, an astronomer from history predicted that it will occur. He make accurate preditions of MANY other stuff that occured, from then until now, it all happened. The 9/11 incident etc. Also the history tells us that the Mayans set the date 21/12/2012 as the day of their end of the year of all years... aka end of the world. So the chance of the event occuring would be pretty high. Disasters that can occur might be a World War 3 involving nuclear weapons, an asteroid/meteoroid strucking Earth, the Sun dying and temperature drops, the Sun relaeasing a massive amount of radiation wiping out Earth's lifeform completely... and so many other possibilities.
Well, hopefully the people who read Nostradamus' book of predictions he made was misintepreted... and 2012 the movie opens in theater this November. From the trailer it seems like a very exciting film... and by the way, many many MANY earthquakes are occuring all over the world, Japan etc. go read the news.... tsktsk... all the natural disasters...
and I had this weird dream... or rather these weird dreams... I dreamt of preparing to go to SSIS's prom if I am not wrong and I am not prepared to go for the prom? Well, dreams are weird and the second one was about SSIS going on this excursion to someplace that happens to snow and weird stuffs occured and then classmates coming to my house to work on some project? Well whatever it is, it's weird and made me slept until 3:30pm.
went to cut hair today and came back and eat my "lunch" at 5pm. and watched some movies. One of them would be "What Happens In Vegas" starring Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz. Funny. Romantic. Excellent movie. Wish to go to Vegas again!!! and all along I was thinking what the film title was as I had forgotten what it was... I thought of "Waking up in Vegas" and I was thinking: wasn't that Katy Perry's song...
Another movie would be "Ground Zero" that I watched with mum when the second earthquake occured. Then watched "Butterfly Effect 2". It looks so much better than the first one that we watched half way during excursion to Jian De. It teaches us a lesson. We cannot change what's done, what we did wrong, what decisions we made.
And continue making your donations to Red Cross for the victims of Typhhon Morakot! A Word Is Just A Word Until You Mean What You Say. Love Isn't Love Until You Give It Away. So stop saying how terrible this disaster was and start donating your money for people who need it more than you do because your action helps more than just words. and give your love away. to love is to care as i defined it. love and cherish all around you, you'll never know what will happen... i have uneasy feelings coming to me from time to time and i will always be reminded of this: Cherish the moment, every single moment you are spending right now and cherish every single person you have met :)

k... So I came back from Kao-Hsiong an hour ago... Went to visit grandparents again and dad bought them a new apartment after bargaining... we had lunch and dinner together with 3rd aunt. I watched "The Pacifier" and some other movies I think at their home and I accidentally switch to 超级星光大道 and apparently I saw the scores thr judges gave to this singer that came to 踢館 and PK with the competitors. This guy got an amazing 24/25 but too bad I didn't hear what he sing cause had to go for dinner already. So I came back home and searched for Anthony/Antoni Neely 倪安東 from US and managed to saw this video of him singing the famous song by a famous singer so emotionally.
and he made amazing covers of song... I heard his cover for Jason Mraz's Prettiest Friend.
and a performance by a Singapore campus Superstar winner which was not bad too:

Had a dream that made me really guilty... Dreamt that I forgot to do my Math assignment on a very tough topic... I was in a SSIS classroom with my VS friends in it and my VS Math teacher, Ms Noorreny... and me forgetting to do homework in her class make me feel really guilty because then she will be very disappointed.... gosh... which then made me wake up... before that part of the dream I dreamt of a bunch of SSIS friends running, chasing around the field... weird... Anyways, I vow to be a good student a do my work... before I feel even more guilty... and of course, for my own good... :)
Farewell to Facebook, Blogger, Twitter etc. in 4 days...

Today's (or rather yesterday since it's already 1:08am) event can be summarized into one word: Boring. Well, except we went to visit our new house, went out for lunch and dinner and I watched the amazing TV show on Youtube: Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana. Yes, it's another Disney show. It's funny. And I love comedies. It's a combination of Wizards of Waverly Place, The Suite Life on Deck and Hannah Montana on board S.S. Tipton and tons of events happened which are so funny! Hahaha! And I can't wait for the new Wizards of Waverly Place Movie. It looks promising... for a Disney movie... ;D
Back in Shanghai in 4 days... OMG 4 DAYS?! Dang... -.- Still need to work on PP, Chemistry Essay and coloring the logo for Chinese...
VS v.s. VJ
To tell you the truth, I only have a vague idea of what is happening and what the deabte is about... If I am not wrong, Victoria Junior College wants to make their 4-years IP into a 6-years IP, which would means that students with better results will go directly into VJC for IP, which means VS won't be able to take in as many good students as before. Or maybe it's the merger problem? Turning an all-boys school co-ed? I don't know... but whatever it is, I will always support Victoria School. 133 years down the road... it was VS who led to the opening of VJC... VS is the mother school.... We, Sons of Victoria School shall stand up and keep the Victoria Spirit burning and uphold VS's name, keeping her flag unfurled!!!
VS FOREVER!!!

Perseids Like Celestial Bug Splatter NASA says meteors become most visible when they collide with and streak across Earth's atmosphere. By Paul McDougallInformationWeek August 11, 2009 04:00 PM
Stargazers across North America have their eyes to the sky this week to watch the Perseid meteor shower, an annual celestial display that hits its peak Tuesday and Wednesday. What many Earthbound observers may not know, NASA said, is that meteors are like big celestial bugs bouncing off the planet's "windshield," or atmosphere.
NASA said the Perseids could deliver up to 80 falling stars per hour, making it one of the liveliest meteor showers viewable from Earth. "This week, lots of meteors will appear over Earth's northern hemisphere when our planet plows through a swarm of dust shed by periodic comet Swift-Tuttle," NASA explained. "It's the annual Perseid meteor shower, which peaks Aug. 11 and 12," the space agency added.
NASA likened a meteor shower to what happens when bugs hit the windscreen of a speeding vehicle. "Just as bugs tend to accumulate on the front windshield of a car, Perseids accumulate on the front windshield of Earth," said NASA.
NASA said Earth's windshield is, in fact, the atmosphere. "Earth's front windshield is the early morning sky. Earth circles the Sun dawn-side first, scooping up whatever lies on that side of the planet. That's why it's usually best to look for Perseids just before dawn," said NASA.
The space agency added that Perseids that strike glancing blows off the atmosphere are also worth checking out.
"Side windows, the ones to the left and right of passengers in cars, are good, too," said NASA.
"Zooming down a bug-infested lane, side windows don't intercept many insects, but the ones they do gather are worth examining. Bugs that strike the side windows do so at a shallow angle, leaving long and colorful streaks," said NASA.
"A breathtaking Earthgrazer is the sort of meteor you're likely to remember for years," said NASA.
(Wow... didn't manage to see it though...)

today i watched this beautiful movie... actually at first i have no idea what the movie was about but there's something about the movie that attracted me... something special but i have no idea what it was... it turned out great in the end... "I Am David"... highly recommended :)
speaking of beautiful movies, Rebecca recommended me to watch "A Walk To Remember" a long time ago but didn't manage to watch it... i'm gonna watch it soon! haha!
speaking about movies, i watched quite a lot of films on the plane to LA... there was "X-Men Origins: Wolverines", "Knowing", "Adventureland", "Monster v.s. Aliens", "Hannah Montana: The Movie", "Dragon Hunter", "L-O-V-E" and a few others... most of them are great films :)
speaking of movies, there's lots of new movies i wanted to watch... "The Proposal" seems like a fun movie... "G-Force", "Up", "Old Dogs", "Alice In Wonderland (Tim Burton's Version)", "A Christmas Carol"... lots of Disney movies... "Aliens In The Attic" starring Ashley Tisdale... The reason I like Disney so much is that I literally grow up watching Disney Channel and in Disney movies/shows, there's always something you can learn from it, a message... well, most of them if not all... and Disney make great songs from the beginning... ever notice how many songs they've got in the Classic movies such as Cinderella, Snow White, Aladdin etc. Great songs isn't it... you may not agree but whatever...
2009: feels like everything is passing by really fast... in a blink of an eye it's already August... and I am not the only one feeling that way... it was like yesterday i was still bidding farewells to people in VICTORIA school... just wish time could stop a while... coz EVERYTHING is passing by really quickly...
Back to Shanghai: 06 Days < See!!! 6 more days back till Shanghai!!! It's just too fast, quick, rapid, speedy...

Many many events occured in the past few days...
First of all, Happy National Day @ Singapore :) Missed the live broadcast on NDP.org.sg. I remember the past few years (except for 2008/09) that I always will definitely tune in to the NDP on 9 Aug. Fireworks. Songs. Well, at least I watched the rehearsal for this year... haha!
Secondly, God bless the victims of the Hurricane (or Typhoon) Morakot. Many are missing, dead, buried alive in Taiwan and also in Japan and parts of China. Heavy flooding occuring in parts of southern Taiwan and Shanghai too. tsktsk.

So sad Ashley Tisdale didn't win the Summer Actress Award for her acting in "Aliens In The Attic". Anyways congrats to all others who won the awards especially Twilight with 11/12 awards as Ashle Greene and Nikki Reed are nominated in the same category. I wonder how could Twilight have so many nominations when the film was OK... not as good as the book. Anyways...
The trip to LA... a soul draining 12+ hours flight to LAX. We checked in @ the Century Plaza Hyatt Regency Hotel. Didn't think we did much on the first day. The next day my sister's bf (Jay) and my whole family went to Santa Barbara (or whatever you spell it). The place was beautiful. It's a small town(s) in the mountains. The buildings are all very unique... those kind of Dutch buildings I think. We went to vineyards, pony farms, lavendar farms (?), ride on those kind of bicycles for 6 people... but it's not really bi- cycle... there are 6 wheels... hmm... then we tour the town and for the next 2 days and went back to LA. The 4+ hours car drive to and fro was tiring too. Back in LA we went to Beverly Hills. My eyes feast on the so many branded stores along Rodeo Drive and the other roads. Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Coach, Omega, Tiffany and Co. etc. but I have no interest in all those kind of stuff so my eyes won't really be feasting on them... Too bad didn't see any stars shopping there that day... It was totally crowded too. Then we drove to Hollywood. The pavements, as most of you should know, are lined with those star thingy with the name of the stars on it. The ones I recognise are Tom Cruise and Snow White. I took photo of the Chinese Theatre or something which is very famous. We didn't drove to the mountain with the big Hollywood sign on it. Later that night we drove to Montery Park to have a Chinese Dinner (finally). We ate duck... Yum. After so many days of sandwiches and western food... finally we had a Chinese meal. Later that night @ 10+pm, we went to LAX getting ready for our flight which is at 1:30am (btw all time stated above are LA time). It was another 13 hours of tiring flight back to Taiwan. + 2+hours of car ride back home. zzz. Had a good time in LA :)
So here I am in Taiwan adjusting back to the time zone here... zzz...
Listening to: Send It On - Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Jonas Brothers (This song is used for the Disney Channel "Friends For Change" promotion to promote to have a green mind to keep Earth green. The lyrics are very meaningful and the song is catchy. You must listen to it!!! 5/5)
A word is just a word Until you mean what you say A Love isn't a love Til you give it away We all got to give Yeah something to give to make a change
Send it on On and on Just one hand can heal another Be apart Reach your heart Just one spark starts a fire With one little action The chain reaction will never stop Make us Strong Shine a Light and Send it On
Just smile and the world will smile along with you That small acts of love Then the one will become two If we take the chances To change circumstances Imagine all that we could do If we...
Send it on On and on Just one hand can heal another Be apart Reach your heart Just one spark starts a fire With one little action The chain reaction will never stop Make us Strong Shine a Light and Send it On Send it on
There's Power in all the choices we make So I'm starting now not a moment to wait A word just a word Until you mean what you say A love isn't just a love Until you give it away
Send it on On and on Just one hand can heal another Be apart Reach your heart Just one spark starts a fire With one little action The chain reaction will never stop Make us Strong Shine a Light and Send it On Send it on
Send it on On and on Just one hand can heal another Be apart Reach your heart Just one spark starts a fire With one little action The chain reaction will help things start Make us Strong
Shine a Light and Send it On Shine a Light and Send it On Shine a Light and Send it On

Did I mention the weirdest dream I had yesternight... or rather morning since I couldn't fall asleep at night... maybe it's not the weirdest but still...
I dreamt about earthquakes occuring... really big earthquakes... and a few aftershocks? Ok whatever... the dream's just weird...
At night had dinner at a wonderful restaurant. Will be having lunch with family to celebrate Taiwan's father's day which I had no idea was tomorrow... Can't really blame me... I had lived in 3 different countries with different festivals and occasions on different days @.@ Will be having lunch with one of my half brothers (:
Goodnight ppl, that's about all for today.
it has been raining cats and dogs since yesterday... and thundering a lot yesterday... well, the good thing will be that it finally rained after weeks of scorching sun burning up everything... it was said that it's because of the hurricane near Taiwan that caused the change in weather...
anyways... i couldn't fall asleep last night... thinking about VICTORIA night and day... missing VICTORIA so much... I used to be part of Victoria but Victoria will always be part of me, I couldn't bear to let go... just can't stop thinking about VICTORIA... Miss all the teachers and friends there... VICTORIA's just not the same as being in SSIS... In VS it feels much more like home... A place that I can run to when I have nowhere else to go...
time really flies eh... already one year and 3 days since I left VS... and school's gonna reopen soon... damn.. still have to do the PP and Chem essay... Not really in the mood to start on Chem... will be working on PP later on... and soon... I wouldn't be able to access so many websites... no more blogging, no more Facebooking (or whatever you call it) and no more Twittering (or tweetering... whatever...) but I guess I'd be able to concentrate on work more focusedly...
gonna be landing in LAX in a day's time! so excited... can't wait to get there... just hope the weather wouldn't affect the flight...
tchau ;]

After the last post, I saw this ad... really amazing...
Just as there are physical laws that govern the physical universe, so are there spiritual laws which govern your relationship with God.
1. God LOVES you and offers a wonderful PLAN for your life. (References contained on this page are from the Bible and should be read in context wherever possible.) God's Love "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 NIV). God's Plan[Christ speaking] "I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly" [that it might be full and meaningful] (John 10:10).
Why is it that most people are not experiencing the abundant life? Because...
2. Man is SINFUL and SEPARATED from God. Therefore, he cannot know and experience God's love and plan for his life. Man Is Sinful "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
Man was created to have fellowship with God; but, because of his stubborn self-will, he chose to go his own independent way, and fellowship with God was broken. This self-will, characterized by an attitude of active rebellion or passive indifference, is evidence of what the Bible calls sin. Man Is Separated "The wages of sin is death" [spiritual separation from God] (Romans 6:23).
God is holy and man is sinful. A great gulf separates the two. A man is continually trying to reach God and the abundant life through his own efforts, such as a good life, philosophy, or religion - but he inevitably fails.
The third law explains the only way to bridge this gulf...
3. Jesus Christ is God's ONLY provision for man's sin. Through Him you can know and experience God's love and plan for your life.
He Died in Our Place "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
He Rose From the Dead "Christ died for our sins...He was buried...He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures...He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred..." (1 Corinthians 15:3-6).
He Is the Only Way to God "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me'" (John 14:6).
God has bridged the gulf which separates us from Him by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in our place to pay the penalty for our sins.
It is not enough just to know these three laws...
4. We must individually RECEIVE Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God's love and plan for our lives.
We Must Receive Christ "As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name" (John 1:12).
We Receive Christ Through Faith "By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast" (Ephesians 2:8,9).
When We Receive Christ, We Experience a New Birth (Read John 3:1-8)
We Receive Christ by Personal Invitation [Christ speaking] "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him" (Revelation 3:20).
Receiving Christ involves turning to God from self (repentance) and trusting Christ to come into our lives to forgive our sins and to make us what He wants us to be. Just to agree intellectually that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for your sins is not enough. Nor is it enough to have an emotional experience.
You receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an act of the will.
There are two kinds of lives: 1. The Self-directed life Self is on the throne. Interests are directed by self, resulting indiscord and frustration. Christ is outside the person's life.
2. The Christ-directed life Christ is on the throne. Self is yielding to Christ. Interests are directed by Christ, resulting in harmony with God's plan.
Which best describes your life? Which would you like to have represent your life? The following explains how you can receive Christ:
You can receive Christ right now by faith through prayer: (Prayer is talking to God) God knows your heart and is not so concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart. The following is a suggested prayer:
"Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be."
Does this prayer express the desire of your heart? If it does, I invite you to pray this prayer right now and Christ will come into your life, as He promised.
God is really wonderful, amazing, awesome... I want to thank God for making my prayers come truth. One night I prayed that my parents will stop arguing and the next day they stop arguing :) Awesome isn't it... miracles really happen. The opportunity arrived and everything became alright.
I had another dream last night... weird one... I dreamt Ms Mercy talking to me and my Primary school friend, Jaime, was living in her house. Ms Mercy and I talked about Red Cross or what she said as Aid Cross and a VS Red Cross friend was mentioned, Hari... lols? Really weird...
Anyways, I'll be heading off to LA in a few days time! So excited! Can't wait to meet my sis!

Alisa Galper - If I Die Tonight
Gain popularity from the Taiwan's "One Million Star", she released a debut album with this ballad "If I Die Tonight" to be one of my favourites, originally sang by Alicia Pan from Singapore.
(A beautiful ballad with strong emotions expressed through the song. 4.5/5)
For Ashley Tisdale, new movie, new music and new goals By Kelley L. Carter, USA TODAY
LOS ANGELES — Sharpay has been unleashed.
Ashley Tisdale, the actress who brought High School Musical's snobby bad-girl Sharpay Evans to life, steps outside the Disney fold this Friday, starring in Aliens in the Attic, her first post-HSM feature. And she's not stopping there: Tisdale's sophomore album, Guilty Pleasure, aimed at a more mature audience, hit shelves Tuesday.
In Aliens in the Attic, Tisdale plays college-bound high school student Bethany Pearson, whose family's vacation home in Michigan gets invaded by pint-sized aliens. She shot the film just before High School Musical 3, knowing it would be the first thing fans see after she finished the Disney trilogy.
The New Jersey native, 24, says she's taking her career to the next level but is in no rush to grow up or out of her niche.
"I'm easing into it," she says. "If you go too far, that can kind of hurt you. So I just take baby steps. Once you're playing the older roles, you're there forever after that. You can never go backward. So I'm taking my time getting there."
Tisdale's Guilty Pleasure, a guitar-driven record on which she co-wrote five songs, pays homage to her musical influences, including Led Zeppelin and AC/DC.
"The subjects (of the songs) are a little bit more mature. There's a lot of breakup songs, and then there are songs that are role-playing in a relationship, and innuendos like 'I like what you do to my hair,' so I think you know where that is going," she says, slightly embarrassed. "As a young kid, you don't listen to what they're saying or what they're singing about. You like the beat. You like the music."
One thing Tisdale doesn't like: "the Hollywood life."
"I've gone to clubs before because I love to dance … but I don't drink or do drugs or smoke. That's something that's not typical, I guess," she says. "I think I'm a big hypochondriac. I see people and it's sad what happens to people when they go down these roads — really talented people."
Plus, "I've never liked the taste of alcohol. It's not like I haven't had it before. I just don't like the taste. At an early age, I was like, 'So why would I do this?' I've never been a weak person. I'm very strong. I've never given into peer pressure. My mom instilled confidence in me, and I always felt if I'm going to do something, it's because I want to do it."
Tisdale hopes to tour with her album, and though she doesn't have any more movies lined up, Aliens director John Schultz says her future is bright.
"She is like a young Barbra Streisand. She can really be a big comedic actress and then belt out a tune and probably direct a movie in the future," Schultz says. "I hope that she doesn't try to be something she's not. Everybody always wants to do dramatic and meaty roles — and she probably will do that and do it very well. But she has a gift of comedy that she should never step too far away from. "
Here's what Ashley has to say on other issues:
On the cast hierarchy of HSM: "When I'm in a movie, I'm not one of those people who forgets their place. I was a third lead in that movie. I was not the star of High School Musical. It was always based on Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens' characters. I loved my character — she was amazing — but she wasn't the star."
On growing up in the spotlight: "My mom and dad wanted me to have a normal childhood, so I went to regular school my whole life so I could have those experiences. I worked in clothing stores growing up, even though I didn't really have to. They wanted me to learn the value of a dollar. At an early age, I knew what I wanted."
On her personality: "I can be stubborn sometimes and headstrong, but I honestly think it's because I know what I want in life."
On the paparazzi and tabloids: "They just try to get a reaction out of you so they can sell it and say 'Ashley is crazy!' They're just stalkers with cameras. I just block it out of my life. I'm a very positive person, so I don't really read that stuff. It's not a normal thing to have to go through. I don't find myself that interesting."
On her future: "I know I'll always have to work hard, and I'm OK with that. With people I grew up with in the business, a lot of it did come easy for them. It was like they just landed into something. But with me, it's always been a difficult road, I've always had to work hard for it. But I don't think I'd have it any other way."
(That's why I admire Ashley... She's a good singer, actress and from the interview you can see she's not those spoilt celebrity like Lindsay Lohan. No drinking, no smoking, no drugs! Working hard, having 100% positivity but can be headstrong at times.)
Listening To: Whatcha Waiting For - Ashley Tisdale (Cool catchy song about breaking up as well... 4.5/5)

You can choose to not read this post as it is really really really long!
Gosh I miss Victoria so much... Victoria School... My favourite school... Did I mention Victoria is my favourite school??? I did? Sigh... Memories... I miss the times I had in VS from orientation day onwards. I remember buying the hard cover yearbook for the year 2006 as it is the 130th Anniversary of Victoria School. VS has come a long way since 1876. In 2009 it was VS's 133rd Anniversary. Too bad I didnt get to attend the Speech Day but at least something memorable would be spending my last day in VS on the 132nd Speech Day in 2008. Having moved many times, Victoria School is now located along Siglap Link, the 5th location and a very prestigious one indeed as it's next to East Coast Park. With so many wonderful state-of-the-art facilities... The ampitheatre, the aircon auditorium with seats like those in the cinemas, a synthetic grass field, a newly-built indoor sports hall, a big hall, the kitchen, the science labs, the flexi-rooms... very flexible indeed... the AV rooms, the various computer labs and one or two of the labs with iMacs... the awesome parade square on the 5th floor with a beautiful roof that has "NIL SINE LABORE" on it and when the sun is shining down directly from the top the shadow of the words can be seen on the parade sqaure. Also the various awesome art works by Victorians hanging along the corridors, the beautiful ecopond with so many creatures among the leaves and trees and in the pond... the wonderous heritage room and the UG rooms and the professional musician's choir room, band room and Chinese Orchestra room and the sportsman's fitness room. Not to mention the Victoria Hall (Hostel) next to VS a perfect match to the awesome structure of VS. But what's even better are the teachers... so caring... so fun... so professional... so helpful and the friends there, so awesome and amazing. The Victorian spirits of each individual are connected to one another, bonding together our brotherhood... In class 1C we had so much fun in the once every 4 years' Victoria Challenge... 24 hours working our way when the sun rises and when the sun sets, with the moon taking the night shift. We fried chicken wings and fries, delicious... feeding fellow Victorians who are working hard on their challenge too. Not to forget the BOWLING!!! And of course academic wise, 1C was the better class with so many in the Top 10 range that year. And then we move on to 2C and our classroom always receive the breeze from ECP and an excellent view of the ecopond. Perfect feng and shui. Later that year we had the tiles in our class... the ONLY class with tiles because the floor quality sucks to simply put it. That year before I complete Sec 2, I moved to Shanghai. SSIS looks beautiful on the outside, but inside you can see that it's definitely a "China Quality" building. The columns are so easily damaged with holes in them and the inside was empty -.- They have the computer labs on the first floor... who are they kidding... When they have floods... say bye-bye to those computers... In HGPS and VS all the comptuer labs are at least on the 4th level. Enough said about SSIS, some of the teachers are great but I doubt how some of the teachers are even allowed to teach -.- In VS we are shaped to be a Gentleman, Professional and Sportsman (G.P.S.). Our school motto: Nil Sine Labore meaning Nothing Without Labour always ring in my mind whenever I am reminded of VS. Lifelong learning and to pass on the Victorian tradition is what the School Logo represents. I want to live up to the Victorian tradition but with SSIS influence, I have to become stronger, become more positive in everything I see. I miss Victoria School so much, it's like a home to me, a place I can really run to. I remember the times when we change in class before and after PE... so sweaty... lols... and Red Cross... the times when we had to march under the sun and rain, marching to the top to get the EUA Gold. Working hard... First Aid lessons... so useful and can always be applied anywhere especially on me as it seems I get injured during Red Cross trainings or camps mostly -.- So from now onwards I shall work hard to live up to be a Victorian while the Victorian Spirit is still burning in me as Once A Victorian, Always A Victorian.
And I had this awkward dream last night (while, most dreams are awkward...) I dreamt that I return to VS on the first day of school and so many Victorians around going to their classes and Mrs Lim was shouting at the Sec 3s some instructions... lols... and then I go down to the canteen and saw Vivian, Darrel's sister then later I saw Darrel (Primary School buddy). Then we walk and talk then saw Kuan Ting and some other primary school friends on the staircase coming down... they saw me and shout at me and came down and hugged many friends... Ke Xin was there... lols... Then the scene transformed into a shopping mall... -.- and the shopping mall looks really familiar... hmm... anyways my primary school friends are still there then we were about to go visit some Chinese teachers then I saw Ms Yan (Primary school chinese teacher) coming out a store and looks like she had too much make up... too much powder... ? -.- anyways we talked and then she said she's meeting a friend then said that she's treating me ice cream... when we reached the ice cream store, and i insisted on paying instead the ice cream become jewelries... Tiffany jewelries to be specific -.- anyways the rest was all rubbish lols... Well it PROVES THAT I MISS SINGAPORE HOUGANG PRIMARY AND VICTORIA SCHOOL.... They have been part of my life for 10 years... sigh...
Victoria In Singapore,
There are other schools we know,
Victoria is something more,
The school that watch'd us grow.
~
For here we've learnt and striven too.
And played the sportsman's game;
Victoria, we give to you
The honour that you claim.
~
Victoriathy sons are we,
And we will not forget,
Victoriathy triumphs see,
And victories we share yet.
~
For others came before and went,
And carried to the world,
Victoria's fame and our intent
To keep her flag unfurled.
~
Nil Sine Labore.

Critics are just too critical... I was surfing the iTunes music review for some artists... such as Ashley Tisdale and I found that in this world there are so many senseless critics giving useless reviews... I won't even call it a review... -.- They only know how to criticise people... blah blah blah... A good critic should view the album in different perspectives and see the advantage and disadvantage... the good and bad side... and give constructive comments or suggestions for improvements but those stupid critics just gave us a one-sided review or even just one word "Garbage"... "Bad"... -.- so lame... I just can't stand people like that... If they don't give any suggestions... how are they gonna improve???
And there are people who say that Ashley copied from Cobra Starship or whatever the band name was... the band's song "Guilty Pleasure" and their new album "Hot Mess"... Ashley have the song "Hot Mess" and her album is called "Guilty Pleasure"... PLEASE... why so sensitive... There are so many songs and albums in this world with the same name... they are so lame... complaining about these stuffs...
And and those people are criticising all the DISNEY STARS... WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH BEING ASSOCIATED WITH DISNEY??? Those people are saying how bad they sound even Demi Lovato was criticised but not as bad as Ashley :'( but Demi does sound better than other Disney artist but they are not bad either... she has a unique style of singing... These people should really GET A LIFE and don't even comment on these artists if they dont even like their singing... what's the use of commenting then... Let out your frustration/irritation??? What's the use of getting irritated... It's not even worth it... Those guys are weird...
Here's my review for Ashley Tisdale's "Guilty Pleasure": The album depicts a different side of Ashley Tisdale... the wild girl... in a HOT MESS... However, I'd prefer her debut album "HEADSTRONG" as we get to hear songs that's not only just about love and breakups, such as "POSITIVITY" and "SUDDENLY". We get to taste a darker side from "HOW DO YOU LOVE SOMEONE", about a broken marriage of Daddy and Mommy and becoming a messed up child. This album presents a different style of music that Ashley presents to PEOPLE WHO LIKE HER SONGS and a different side of Ashley as can be heard from "ACTING OUT". "MASQUERADE" is another track that's a MUST LISTEN. The single "IT'S ALRIGHT IT'S OK" tells a break up tale. The ballad "WHAT IF" was good too. From "Aliens In The Attic" comes the track "SWITCH", an interesting mix of musical style. "CRANK IT UP" is a perfect dance music letting you rock out to it. "ERASE AND REWIND" was a recommended track too. With this change in singing style shows that Ashley's slowly leaving her Disney career and growing out of the innocent Maddie Fitzpatrick of "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" and Sharpay Evans of the High School Musical franchise. I suggest Ashley to not write songs too grown up or too teenage for High School Musical lovers who are mostly kids would be hearing "not so innocent" songs and maybe stick to the style as shown in "HEADSTRONG" and "GUILTY PLEASURE" can be kept for the future. This album was really creative though and I'd rate it 4/5 :)
Really pop-py albums... and with the death of Michael Jackson (R.I.P.), who will claim the throne to be the next King of Pop? Adam Lambert? Maybe... He's got a unique range of pitch... and unique singing style... hahas...
we met at the cinemas that year... you and your mum and me and my mum and we unexpectedly have the sits next to one another... you are my first crush...

Back 2 SiNGAPORE ;]
Ok so the day before I left fo Singapore I finally realise what life and love is. Well, sort of. The purpose of living is to experience different things. Our life is full of experiences. We taste the different tastes in this world: Sweet, Spicy, Sour, Bitter, Salty... these are all experiences. We get to see different colours in this world, even when it's just black and white or even when you can't differentiate the colours, these are all experiences we go through. We laugh, we cry, we get shocked, we get frightened we experience the various emotions. We do projects, we go to school, we go have fun and hang out we experience various things. Eventually, we all experience one thing: death. So this is life: we go through various experiences from birth to death. These are all experiences. And we should really appreciate it we get to experience these things. In other worlds, we should be greatful we are alive and well on Earth. God made us all differently, even twins are different, we experience different things. With regards to LOVE, I would just see it as caring for someone because LOVE is really a big word but with one purpose. You love your family because you care for them. You love your friends because you care for them. You love your girlfriend/boyfriend because you care for them. You love your pet dog/cat/fish/turtle/bird/snake/guinea pig/rat/pig/snail because you care for it. You love your work because you care about working. You love to study because tyou care about your studies. Well that is with the exception of loving foods etc.
So anyways, I arrived in Singapore in the afternoon with my mum and we went to Lewin Education Center to thank my tutors for helping out in the "REVERIES". 5000 RMB = SGD$1000+ are already donated to AWWA School for the kids with special needs and also an additional 95+ books will be delivered to Shanghai! Wonderful! And we have a lot more money to donate to charities!
In case you do not know: YOUR PURCHASE OF "REVERIES" WILL BE HELPING OUT THE CHARITY ORGANIZATIONS AS ALL PROFITS WILL BE DONATED TO CHARITY. I REPEAT: ALL. EVEN THE MONEY WE RAISED FROM THE FUND RAISING WILL BE DONATED AND THE SALE OF THE BOOKS. GIFTING OF BOOKS WILL BE ALLOWED BUT THE RECIPIENT HAVE THE CHOICE TO DONATE 60 RMB OR AN EQUIVALENT SGD$12 TO ANY CHARITY ORGANISATION.
Okay so then we went to visit my Primary School Best Friend: DARREL :] we didn't talk much though, he grew so tall... gosh I am so jealous... haha! Btw, I passed HGPS and the new Indoor Sports Hall looks pretty awesome!!!
The following day I went back to VICTORIA SCHOOL! Everybody grew so tall... I'm so totally jealous... and meet up with lots of friends and teachers :] Had fun touring the school with JIA LOK and CHAN KAI. However many ppl fell ill. Saw the Red Cross peeps! Good memories~ And the juniors! Haha! I do know one Sec 1 who doesnt really enjoy Red Cross... then after that had dinner with Jia Lok. Did I mention the view from Swissotel The Stamford is so awesome? Can see the Marina Bay Sands under construction and The Esplanade and the CBD and the St Andrew Cathedral and Padang and the Government Place thingy and the Merlion and the Floating Platform. Oh btw, VS's new Indoor Sports Hall was built already as well! Looks awesome as well! Wow... both schools I went to have new sports hall!!! AWESOME!!!
The next day we went shopping and at night we saw the NDP Rehearsals!!! Awesome fireworks directly from our hotel room! Haha! And the following morning Jia Lok, Chan Kai and RONALD ONG came to send me off! Thanks guys! We chat a bit but that morning I was tired so didn't chat a lot...
Sigh... I had a choice then in August 2008: To stay in Singapore to continue studying in VS or move to Shanghai to study in SSIS. I chose to move to Shanghai. In VS, I could have had more achievments in many different ways with the so many opportunities they had... even in CCAs. And I could have stayed in Red Cross and then I'd grow taller with all the Physical Trainings in the bumblebee attire~... sigh... But moving to Shanghai I get to have a new experience and of course, learning many valuable lessons. These opportunities God gave me... I really appreciated it. Now I've learnt to let go but of course from time to time I'd still be clinging on to past memories. And of course, I've made new friends. There's an advantage and disadvantage having this great change.
And with opportunities we have to really make full use of the chance to make things right. In the movie "Evan Almighty" that I saw in the hotel, they say that when we pray for things, we don't get what we want directly. God only gives us the opportunity to get that thing we want. Really awesome. It's really up to us to make things right/successful when the opportunity is right in front of us. I also saw another movie "To Be Fat Like Me"... it's a cool movie as we learn to accept people for who they are... I saw "Mr Woodcock" too... lols... funny movie...
Ok so that's about all...

hola i am back from Tai-An, staying over in a SPA Resort in the middle of mountains and the great Mother Nature. however it rained and the mosquitoes and the so-so hotel room make everything terrible... luckily it's only for one night... haha
oh and i saw a very interesting joke that i am very sure hilary will definitely enjoy and laugh at! here it is: There is a Vampire Bar in somewhere and then the first Vampire entered and said to the bartender, "I'd like to order a mug of Bloody Mary (a kind of drink)." Then after that a 2nd Vampire arrived and ordered an O-Typed Blood Drink thingy.... yum~ after that, came the 3rd Vampire. He said, "I'd like to have a cup of warm water please." The bartender replied, confused, "Why would you want a cup of warm water?" but gave him the cup of water nevertheless. The 3rd Vampire replied, "To drink tea" and took out something hilary likes and starts with the letter "P" :)
hahas....
and so today I watched "The Mummy" on AXN and "The Mummy Returns" and "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" on HBO. haha! Mummy Fiesta~
oh yes and for the last few days i just cant seem to fall asleep... i have been thinking too much again about the future... near future and the further future (?) lols... and I SOO MISS RED CROSS and VICTORIA SCHOOL and SINGAPORE and ALL MY FRIENDS/TEACHERS!!! and KAYA and HAINANESE CHICKEN RICE.... and FIRST AID.... such a headache...

so i was clearing my inbox today... all the 300+ emails i have to categorise and delete and blah blah... good memories i viewed through... reveries... peacurkies... romeo and juliet.... sigh... and also this piece of news from min yen...:
22 July 2009 a tsunami is predicted and singapore, malaysia etc. are the targeted areas of being hit by the tsunami and the epicentre of teh earthquake is at either taiwan, japan or somewhere in the pacific and these days there's lots of quake occuring around taiwan... and it's already 17 July.... well, just wait for the day.... sigh...
here's an analysis from about.com:
UNLESS A TRULY extraordinary coincidence occurs on July 22, 2009, the only accurate statement in the preceding message is that a solar eclipse will be visible in some parts of the world on that day. Tsunamis are caused by earthquakes, not eclipses. Though astronomers have long been able to predict eclipses by tracking the orbits of the sun and the moon, no such capability exists for earthquakes, nor is there any known correlation between the two phenomena. "In the last 110 years or so, there have been about 85 really big earthquakes," Professor Kerry Sieh of Singapore's Earth Observatory explained in a statement to Channel News Asia in April 2009. "And only two of those occurred on the same day as an eclipse. And even those were a partial eclipse, not a total eclipse. They happened in a different place from where the eclipse happened."
NASA's Dr. James Foster concurs: Earthquakes and volcanic eruptions do indeed occur at times of eclipses. But records show that they occur with no greater frequency or power than on days when full Moons or new Moons occur (without eclipses), when all the planets line up on the same side of the Sun or on days when the Moon is in a crescent or gibbous phase. As special as eclipses are, they simply don't have a known impact on any geophysical phenomena.
HOWEVER I think it may be possible still for the fact that there's a rise in the earthquake activities in Taiwan recently and also in New Zealand... well... whatever... and it's on the same day as the solar eclipse btw... haha :)
i'll end here.

A NEW CHANGE!!! For me. For my blog. For my LIFE :)
so... I have left the Red Dot and landed to a place so strange and unfamiliar to me - Shanghai. With this change, I've changed. Changed a lot. Good changes, bad changes... all of them come to me like a tidal wave, drowning me. But in the end I pull through the tough times and did OK for the EOY Exams. Thanks to Lady Luck ;) With the so-called "success" of the Final Year Exams even though it's all last minute studies, came the success of the "Reveries". Consecutive days of sleeping late... 5am... 4am... Reveries is just like my personal brand of caffeine, keeping me awake :) and here comes summer vacation! (imagining the scene from High School Musical 2~) my family went back to Taiwan. We went sightseeing then went to Taipei and EARTHQUAKE: Magnitude 3 Epicentre: Off the coast of Hualien 6.3 Magnitude. the quake lasted for 23seconds which is considered pretty long. The next few days we went to watch Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. The special effects are excellent and the opening scene would look very cool in 3D. It's definitely funnier than previous installments but the plot/story of this movie seems to be not as well made as previous films. I'd give it a 4/5 ;) and then 2day... another EARTHQUAKE felt in Tai-Chung :) It's magnitude 1-2 and the epicentre is off the coast of I-Lan with a magnitude of 5+. I would be going to Singapore next week! Visiting awesomez VICTORIA SCHOOL and all my old friends and teachers and tutors and Mrs Wong and then shopping @ ION ORCHARD if it opens up.... Chemistry'll be in the air!!! Haha!!! Trip to US will be cancelled because we'll be going over to US next year anyways to attend my Sister's graduation ceremony so instead, we may be going to Hokkaido, Japan!!! :) but then I have to remind myself that I have yet to finish Chinese homework and PP... sigh.... not inspired enough to work on it... and school's reopening in 40 days (as said by Hansika)?! Gosh... 10th Grade will be so worry-some and scary and I need to work harder @.@
and then I have quite a few dreams i dreamt lately... terrible dreams involving DEATH~ yikes... and other dreams... ... ...
alright... that's about all that happened so far...
signing off WC
p.s. btw my old blog still exist but it will be locked up forever. it remains to be part of my life story and a reminder for myself that this will be a start of something new. i'll change for the better and everything :)
